Hello,
My name is Cory, I'm a fisherman first and a bait maker second.
I started fishing when i was a kid on the Mississippi river, I caught my first big fish and I was hooked! That was it for me, I have been a fisherman my whole life. I am 46 years old and Now i reside in the Sandusky Ohio area. I fish Lake Erie as well as the surrounding rivers and lakes. I am a bass fisherman of large and small mouth bass. I am not a tournament fisherman, I do it all cause I love to fish.
Bait making is my hobby, my name on Tiktok is UNCLE CORYS CUSTOM LURES. I found a few guys doing it on the internet and thought it would be great to be able to make my own baits. I airbrush hard baits in different patterns, styles, and colors. I can custom paint a lot of different patterns. I absolutely love the challenge and the outcome.
THE PONDCAST, I recently started a podcast in late 2025. We are currently growing in followers day by day. I host it live on TikTok every Tuesday at 7pm eastern. It is all about bait making, and what it takes to make baits like crank baits all the way to glide baits, or even the flies and bass jigs. I interview bait makers from all over the USA! Ask them questions like how did you get into bait making? What State are you from? What paints and air brushes they like to use. After the live podcast is done I re post the live over on YouTube under the name of THE PONDCAST2025.
